Established in 1985, Longhouse Specialty Forest Products is a family owned operation located on Central Vancouver Island. Our philosophy was born out of appreciation for our surroundings in the North Pacific Coast Rain Forest.

Living and working in the most bio-diverse geographical area on the planet, we are passionate about the environment, thankful for the bounty it provides, and are committed to keeping it sustainable for our families for infinity. Binding our company together is a deep-rooted appreciation for the science of forestry, renewal of our forestlands, and the quality of the products we shape for homes and businesses worldwide.

The integrity of our products showcases the beauty of the west coast while honoring its rich history. We are committed to doing the job right the first time, serving our customers as efficiently as possible, and hold an overall passion for the forest industry we believe surpasses all others.

Direct to the Building Project

Our fully integrated production facility allows us to take sustainably harvested logs, and mill them to a finished product. We are then able to sell directly to the Building Project, eliminating the need for a middle man and passing the savings on to the contractor.

Longhouse Forest Products has provided products for projects throughout North America including Northern Alaska, Vermont and Hawaii with international projects in Japan and Puerto Rico. These projects range from commercial projects, hotels, multi-family developments, residential projects, home renovations to multi-million dollar homes on the Sea-To-Sky corridor between Vancouver and Whistler Mountain Ski Resort, home to the 2010 Winter Olympics.
